October 3, 2022

How long have you worked at Camphill School Aberdeen?

I have lived and worked in CSA for 19 years.

What brought you to Camphill School Aberdeen?

I was looking for a place where life and work were combined. Similarly, I was attracted by the BACE program which combined theory and practice in an inspiring and exciting way.

What does your role at Camphill School Aberdeen consist of?

Over the years my role has been varied and diverse. I have been a student, co-worker, house co-ordinator, manager and teacher.

Are there any key highlights that stand out for you during your time at Camphill School Aberdeen?

What stands out for me most in my time in Camphill has without a doubt been the life sharing element. I can only describe it as a humbling process of mutual growth and development for all involved, from children and young people to parents and coworkers it has been an incredibly enriching experience. I came thinking I would have so much to teach only to find I had some much to learn, with many lessons being hard won. Not an easy road but well worth it.

How much of a difference will the capital appeal campaign when complete make to students and their families at Camphill School Aberdeen?

I hope the capital appeal campaign will facilitate ever more opportunities for people from all walks of life to share this journey together, whether short or long and take the experiences they make here into the wider world.
