Empowering young people to thrive through tailored educational programmes, creative workshops and therapies, and a strong sense of community.
Our mission is simple – to transform the lives of vulnerable children and young people with learning disabilities and complex additional support needs. We empower them to grow in confidence, skills, and independence to reach their fullest potential.

Our approach to care is rooted in mutual respect for each other and our environment. We integrate lifelong learning, crafts, therapy, onsite medical support, and care of the land, tailoring programmes to each young person's individual needs.
At Camphill School Aberdeen we live, learn, work, and grow together. Our unique community creates positive mutual relationships through shared living experiences, meaningful work and the celebration of seasonal festivals. Many staff and volunteers live on site, creating a vibrant family atmosphere and strengthening our relationships. This enhances the quality of education and care we provide our children and young people.
Sustainability has been a core value of Camphill School Aberdeen for over 80 years. We strive to have a positive impact on our environment, ensuring it thrives for generations to come. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and practice the principles of the circular economy. This sees us growing our own organic produce, reducing waste, utilising electric vehicles, and decreasing carbon emissions.
Our school and therapeutic workshops are a key part of our approach to care and education. As well as classroom education, we offer skill development workshops such as arts and crafts, woodwork, weaving, bike repair, and estate maintenance. We also offer a variety of therapies including equine therapy, play therapy, therapeutic speech, and eurythmy movement.
Over 85% of students have shown significant improvement in emotional regulation and social skills through our therapeutic programmes.
92% of young people reported improved physical well-being after participating in our outdoor therapy and movement sessions.
95% of parents said that the therapies provided at Camphill have had a positive impact on their child's development and confidence.
The equal and inclusive relationships create meaningful connections and help enrich experiences and outcomes and young people felt safe and secure in a community where they felt they belonged and are valued.
