Can your business help transform young people’s lives in 2025?

Looking for a meaningful charity partner in 2025?

At Camphill School Aberdeen, we’re passionate about partnering with local businesses to create meaningful change. Whether it’s supporting our capital appeal, taking part in fundraising challenges, or exchanging skills, your organisation can make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with learning disabilities and complex additional support needs.

Why partner with Camphill School Aberdeen?

We have been providing day and residential services to children and young people across the region with learning disabilities and complex additional support needs for more than 80 years. Often, the children and young people who come to Camphill School Aberdeen have struggled within the mainstream offering but thrive in our environment.

Our unique approach to care integrates national curriculum-aligned learning with vocational workshops and therapies alongside on-site medical support.

Our workshops and therapies include equine therapy, candle-making, bike workshop, speech therapy, weaving and pottery amongst others. This holistic approach is tailored to meet the needs and interests of each individual, helping the young people reach their full potential. We focus on what the young people can do, not what they can’t do.

We’ve also been at the forefront of sustainability for over 80 years, something we’re extremely proud of as sustainability and circular economy principles continue to be increasingly important. We have a number of internal circular projects as well as a Sustainability Action Group who are constantly coming up with innovative ways to fast-track our journey to net zero. If sustainability aligns with your organisation’s goals, partnering with us is the perfect fit.

What are the benefits of partnering with us?

Partnering with a charity is a great way to meet your ESG (environmental, social, governance) goals while also giving back to the local community. By aligning with a cause that shares your values, you can improve employee morale and engagement.

A partnership with us allows you to forge relationships with members of the community that you may not otherwise have the opportunity to engage with. We also offer knowledge transfer in areas such as sustainability and inclusion and can host lunch and learns for your employees on the latter.

What does a charity partnership entail?

Whatever the size of your business, you can help us transform the lives of families across the north east. A partnership with us involves working together to create positive change in the lives of children and young people with learning disabilities and complex additional support needs, as well as their families.

Any support, whether financial or time and skills, makes a real difference. This can be achieved through donations, event sponsorship, volunteering, fundraising, and more.

We can also host a Murtle Market pop-up shop at your office. Our pop-ups feature unique arts and crafts, such as candles, prints, and tote bags, made by the young people in our vocational workshops. All funds raised from our pop-ups go towards our Building Futures, Transforming Lives capital appeal.

A number of businesses generously selected us as their charity partner for 2024, including Amplus Energy, Arnlea, FG Burnett, and Ithaca Energy.

Ian Herd, Executive Director at Amplus Energy, said: “We know first-hand the positive impact Camphill has on the lives of children and young people with complex additional needs, having seen the fabulous support that my nephew, Scott has received. The respite and educational programmes provided to Scott and many more have made a monumental difference to the quality of life, not just for him, but for other members of the family too. Scott has been a resident at Camphill for many years and loves every minute of his time there.”

By choosing to support us, we can help even more families like Scott’s.
