Camphill School in Aberdeen wishes to announce a new vacancy for a Therapeutic Movement Practitioner, supporting children and young adults with diverse to complex needs.

Our opportunity would suit a candidate with the following:

  • A background and/or qualification in a therapeutic movement discipline (additional training can be offered)
  • Some experience or an interest in working with people with assisted support needs, such as autism, neurodiverse needs, ASD
  • Ideally, a background related to Waldorf Education, Curative Education, or anthroposophical therapeutic work
  • An interest in exploring the Anthroposophic medical approach to human development and physiology

Examples of appropriate training backgrounds in the capacity of therapist or teacher, could be Bothmer Gym and Spatial Dynamics, or other functional or structural body therapies and movement-based disciplines, such as Eutony, Feldenkreis, Pilates, Alexander Technique, Somatic Movement and Sensory Integration.

Our School estate and Young Adults Services estate are situated in unique and beautiful grounds by the River Dee in the North-East of Scotland, just 20 minutes cycle/drive from the city of Aberdeen, 15 minutes from Aberdeen Airport, and an hour away from the majesty of the Grampian highlands. Two bus services operate within 5-10 minutes walk from the estates, taking you into the center of Aberdeen.
